Windows on the Future
The Paseo Project, Taos MainStreet, Vital Spaces, and 516 ARTS created the Windows on the Future project, a series of month-long storefront art installations that took place across Taos, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque in summer 2020. Windows on the Future turned storefront and commercial windows into art installations and invited viewers to walk and drive by to see them from the sidewalk and street. The collaborative effort aimed to bring vibrancy and vitality to Central and Northern New Mexico’s commercial districts in these challenging times while also encouraging social distancing. Artists were selected and given a stipend to create an installation which was displayed in a storefront during August 2020. Special thanks to the Falling Colors and LOR Foundations for their generous sponsorship of Windows on the Future. More information on this project can be found at The Paseo Project.
